Side Light: For the picture I had to use the "soft box" light which was only one of the lights. Then I wanted to see what side I wanted the light to be in. I chose the left side of her face and I placed the light not to far from her and then I made sure that she was placed in the center and part of her face turned so the light would only hit her left side.
Front Light: Like the pictures they take in school, I had to use the "soft box" light and the umbrella, which gives it a more powerful light. The soft box and the umbrella put together makes it give more light and it focuses on the person. I placed her in the middle again and then I took the picture.
Rule of Thirds: Off the grids is when the person or object isn't in the center. For this I used only the "soft box" light and placed it pointing towards where she was standing. I asked my friend if she could choose which side she wanted to stand. Then I proceeded to take the picture.
Prop: For this we had to tell the person we were bringing in to bring something that represented who they are or something that represented a little bit of who they are. She decide to bring in her jewelry because she likes that and she is always wearing them. I used again the "soft box" light which only focused on one side of her. I told her to put her hand were the jewelry was placed and for her to put it across her face like a robot. Then I took the picture.
Funny Picture: For this picture, I can't really explain, its just her posing a funny face. She decide to make that face. I place her in the middle, and used both of the lights and place the "soft box" light close to her and the umbrella light not to far away from her.
